I just returned this week from a trip to America. My wife and I went there to see our daughter graduate from university. This is a photo of her about the time she started going to the university.
I also went home to see my family and friends. I will tell about that part of the trip later.
I started my trip in Jeddah, KSA.
From there, my wife and I flew to New York City.
We got to see two of my wife's sisters while we were waiting all day for our plane to Texas. Here is my wife and her sisters at the airport.
Our first plane took us to Atlanta, Georgia. There we transferred to a plane for Austin, Texas.
I think we were traveling for about 38 hours when we arrived in Austin at night.
The first day in Austin we mostly slept and stayed around the house. We did do a little shopping. The next day we went to the December graduation ceremony at St. Edwards University.
Here is my daughter on her way to receive her diploma. She received her degree in International Business Management. She is also receiving her teaching certification in English. Maybe she will teach in Europe for a couple of years.
We were very happy to see her finish school one semester early. After the ceremony she and her mom had to pose for a photo in front of a famous door on the campus.
There are many historic buildings as well as modern ones. The campus is high above the city of Austin. This is a beautiful campus.
You can see the city below this campus soccer field.

Thank you Sweety. Her most special gift was that her father and mother flew around the world to see her. She also received some other gifts.
Thank you Ymn Pearl. I haven't written about my son yet, because he still needs to send me photos from Harbin China, where he is teaching.
It seems a very interesting trip. The best thing is that you have attended your daughter's graduation. =)

wow everything is amazing ur daugther ur wife the copmus ....
congratulation for her, I'm sure that you are proud of her, but I'm wondering what did u offer her as a gift , she needs something special :p
Thanks Junko. It really is a very nice campus and they love to have international students there. The school was started by a branch of the Roman Catholic Church more than 100 years ago, but they are not really a religious school. They have many students from other countries and make everyone feel at home regardless of religion.
I was surprised that there have been many Arab students and former students of St. Edwards. But I found out that they have a prayer room for the Muslim students and offer facilities for all religions. The school encourages diversity and hopes that the students learn about other cultures and religions.
Thanks everyone. It was a great trip and I will add more photos. Be sure to check back again later to see them.
