I just entered into my room after having a head bath; yes, I felt a little sleepy so lay in my bed for a while. I was about to have a nap, but suddenly my mind drawn out to my key chain, which was next hung on a hook fixed to my wooden cupboard. Yes, I can remember the sleep-talk I had with my keychain. Yes, we discussed lots sitting side by side like closer friends.

I was really gifted my key chain almost a decade back by my elder sister (I’ve only two sisters; I’m middle) living abroad. Actually, she gifted me many new key chains afterwards on many occasions, but I still love this one!

In fact, there are six keys with my key chain, which are used for the time being. My office starts at 8.00AM, but I reach to office at about 7.15AM everyday as a habit, so my boss gave me an extra entrance key because otherwise, I have to just wait outside for about 30 minutes. Then, the section key that is to open our section; then two keys for my training-centre, my home-entrance key and my cupboard key. These are the most important keys for my simple life style.

My key chain is a little heavier and at times I can use it as a paper-weight, but I don’t do it as a habit. There is an elegant design on it, but really, it has no link to my culture. But, I have no problem with that design because I’m culturally tolerable. I, as a habit, placed my key chain in the inner pocket of my office bag because I don’t like to leave it in the outside pocket. At glance, somebody would look at my poor keychain and think what is this? But, I know on how it is worth to me!  My key chain and I have been living together for more than 10 years like the trunk and bark of a tree, so how I devalue my lovely key chain!

One working day, I can recall my past memory; I suddenly went out on a personal issue leaving my key chain in a drawer of my office table. I forgot to take my key chain with me and on the very same day, my office colleague too happened to go out suddenly. Once I came back office, I got a phone call from my colleague, and he told me that his mother was hospitalized and was difficult to be back office after midday. Oh! OMG! How to open my section door now! So, I was so worried about it! If my lovely key chain were with me, I would not face such a trouble situation. I straightway went to the cafeteria (canteen) and ordered a full cup of tea, and after having my tea, I got a new fresh mood! I came back to office, oh! It was fortunate for me; my boss had opened my side-door with his key.

Yes, I know I could write a number of essays about my lovely key chain because there are many happenings around my key chain. I still believe my lovely key chain, and I hope to continue our strong bond for many years without any hesitation. My lovely key chain!!! May have a long life!!!
