Last year at the same time I joined to blogger, and start writing blog :D that was awesome . the awesome experience which EC gave it to me.

I start with writing blog about traditional new year of Iran which we call Nowruz( my first blog  http://my.englishclub.com/profiles/blogs/new-year-of-persia in 13 March , means this day) means New day.

New day for our hear for life for earth for even plant for air for new decision and for everything.

In my first blog I told you about why and which countries celebrate Nowruz and in this blog I wanna speak a little about what we do in our Nowruz.

We have 13 days off. One of the member of EC call Niloo has put the explanation of the first day.( Hi Kiriku! As I said, we're going to start New Year in Iran. Iranians have some traditions before starting New Year. For example, we clean our house (all parts of it); we buy new clothes and sometimes new things for our home etc. Also, we have a special tradition that we spread a tablecloth and we put some things on it as you can see in the picture. We call this HAFT SIN. SIN is one of the Persian alphabets that sounds ’s’. So HAFT SIN means 7's'. Because the name of everything we put on this tablecloth start with SIN (s) in Persian, for instance, apple, coin, garlic, sumac, hyacinth, greenery and vinegar. Except these seven things, we put our holy book: “Quran”, mirror, water, clock, a red fish, some colorful eggs, candle, fruits, confectionary and other things for decoration. Every one of them is symbol of something. For example, being new, fertility, cleanliness, wealth, superfluity etc. In the time of entering to New Year, families come together around this tablecloth. They read Quran and a special prayer and they celebrate the New Year. We have holiday for 13 days. And in the 13^th day we go to the nature and we finish our NOWROUZ holiday. In these days we go and see our relatives. First day is special day for older. All families go to see their grandparents. The oldest who is alive has lots of grandchildren who come to his house. And then the elder go to the home of younger and so on.

Oops there are a lot to say but there is a special day 13 th (farvardin = the first month of Persian calendar.) We goes out from morning .we eat breakfast and and lunch . Usually beside a lack and in the jungle and nature .and all young and unmarried people come up and tie two grasses and in while they tie , they wish to be married next year that they go out at the same time.

All young Persian people do this from 2500 years ago till now. And the reason is that such day one of the king of Iran in 2500 years ago married with his wife and they tie two grass for the Oath of Allegiance and after them all of the young people tie grass and wish to have marriage like them :D I have tie too but I had another dream :p
