My name is Shane, and this is my city. I live in Sydney, Australia. Sydney is famous for its beautiful harbour, Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Sydney is on the eastern coast of Australia between the cities of Newcastle in the north and Wollongong in the south. There are many beaches to visit and I love spending my time down at the beach. I especially like the beaches where there are not many people.
The view from the Botanical Gardens to the city centre and harbour is amazing. The Botanical Gardens are full of native plants and birdlife. It's a great place for children to play whilst the parents relax. I often go to the Botanical Gardens to write and take in the relaxing atmosphere.

I like my city a lot. I have lived in many different places in Australia, have seen many natural wonders, and still Sydney holds a warm place in my heart. :o)

As an Australian City,Sydney is quite diverse in what the city has to offer. There are many places to eat, many parks to enjoy and many places to swim and enjoy the sunshine.
Just a short car drive or train ride south of Sydney is the Royal National Park. This park is very rugged and is full of natural wonders. There are many nice beaches in the park area and many opportunities to take photographs of nature. Its at this park that I search for secluded places to relax near the ocean.

Thanks for presenting these fascinating photos. I'm greately impressed! Of course, I've heard about Sydney but I even couldn't imagine it's so beautiful and unique! I think an unusual mixture of skyscrapers and green space gives this unique impression!

Thank you for your nice comment. Yes,it was a very overcast day when I took those pictures. I think even when the days are gloomy I still manage to find the beauty in my city :o) I prefer clear summer skies though because I can get out and do more.
During the Olympics the city came alive with lots of colour,celebrations and the chance to meet people from around the world. I am so proud of my city for making the Olympic Games a part of us. :o)

Thank you for your nice comment. Sydney is quite a large city for us. It spreads far and wide. There are many parks and gardens scattered through out the city. In the summer, families gather in the parks to have fun and enjoy time together.
