'Mum's love and little lies'

When I sit in my home and think about my mum, she is a wonderful mum, one in a million. But does mothers lie? Hmm they do some times is in it? Its turned to',for good cause'.

When I was little Mum told me, 'eat this vegetables you will get a long hair up to your knee'. Its turned to a lie! We lived in a remote part of our country, near the forest. Mum told me 'there is a monster living in that forest don't go near it,as soon as School finished don't hanging around get home soon'. I never get the chance to see the monster. Such a shame!.

Don't do this 'God will poke your eyes'. Hmm I never see God poking children eyes. 'Don't eat that seed inside the fruit, the tree will grow inside your tummy, ate that tamarind seed accidentally, scared and checking my tummy in the mirror for months. There is lots more. .. I can list.

I know now every thing because of love and to protect us from harm.

When I was young my mom would warn us with stories of the "boogeyman" or the scary witch so we won't stay out when it gets dark. I think it has something to do with our culture since stories like this are passed on from one generation to another. Also since children thrive on fantasy, it's easier for them to believe these things which is why our moms only do it when we were young because we were all so gullible! :)

Adaline, this kind of lies, parents, especially mothers, was telling to children to protect them. Because some years ago the way of thinking of people was like this, to speak like this in their children. However, now things have changed. New generations became parents and they are more modern, cleverer and for sure they don't approve this kind of protection. Nowadays parents speak to their children like they are big persons. That's why children are so clever in last generations.

When I was small my father pased away my mother always lied us said dad gone abroad,dad called today,dad has sent a letter,When we became big only we realized the real story.

Mums can lie to protect their kids or to stimulate them to do something good. Their lies are white cause it do not harm their children. Grandparents can lie too(:. Bala, thank you for your sweety blog.
