From the casting shadow of tomorrow
Yes! You can clasp a hand of hope
No! Don't expect it's gonna be cotton soft
You've got to pull yourself together
Believe without fail,
That things will always be getting better
'Life is what you make it' as they say
It may...
It might...
It must...
With determination, and with a pray
Be your own soldier
Be your own leader
Be your own angel
Be your own label
Be your own guide
And OWN your own ride
But most of all
Whether you're on a rise or on a fall...
Be your own person
Be your own SOUL.

I'm super agree with you. :) We can't live always like this. Sometimes, we need a teacher, a mentor, someone who will guide us.
However, there are points in life, that we need an extreme ownership of the things going on in our life. When the things are rough, when the things are not panning out as you plan, when the things you aim seems out of reach, when you think the night is at its darkest, that's when we take our responsibility. No blaming anyone or blaming ourselves, but be our person, our own soul. Own our own ride on this life. Whether we are on our Rise or on our Fall, take extreme ownership of our situation. This is the central point of this poem. I kinda down when I wrote it. I just wanna remind myself and lift up my spirit.
Nonetheless, I really appreciate your thoughts about this. I would love to write another blog tackling the topic that you brought up on having someone to help us. You've just give me a great idea! Thank you so much.

Great interpretation! I like it when you say be a hero or heroine to ourselves and we must value ourselves. Even sometimes, other people would see us as insignificant, to ourselves, we are as valuable as any other person.
