There's an organization in Japan named Second Life Toys. It gives new limbs to old broken plush toys to make them complete again. And the best part? You can join the campaign by donating your unwanted toys. What did you say? You're a little old for playing with toys? Okay, fine! Your kid's then. You and/or your kid(s) will receive a letter from the “recipient” plushie telling you how you've helped them to improve their lives. The message behind it is important, actually. SLT hopes that the campaign can raise awareness of the organ donation which is kind of a big deal. It's an issue that doesn’t get much press in Japan and nor does it get much attention in general, you know? Plus, they educate kids about organ transplants in a way that's not creepy at all. Neat, huh?
You can donate your own plushies here.

That is so sweet, thank you!
Right, right, right, right, right.
Yes, Camel. Yes, there is. "reALLY"!
Evangelina,
No argument here. But you're dead anyway, right? So what's the big deal? Your heart'll beat in someone's chest who's very much alive. Your eyes'll be the best gift for a blind person who's sick and tired of pitiful remarks by strangers. This could be a new beginning, you know. Your family can visit that recipient every now and then. This way, they'll listen to your heartbeat and they won't regret anything.
I'm glad it made an impact, dear Hurieh.
Well, that's a shame. Thousands of lives could be saved by this, you know?
You're kiddin' me, Onee, right?
Pretty inspiring and innovative! I was touch when I read your great blog.
Over here, in Iran, we also lack public attention towards organ donation. This is a good way to raise awareness and encourage people to think of it when they are able to be donors of the second life.
Thanks so much for your excellent blogs.
I've just known about such a thing. :D Thank you for sharing, dear Aseven. ;)
