Hello, dear members of EC. Today I would like to introduce you to one marvellous film which is titled Life of Pi. It's an adaptation of a fantasy adventure novel by Yann Martel.
The film tells us about Indian boy who lost their family in shipwreck during a storm but himself he survive and find himself in a lifeboat along with a Bengal tiger. For 227 days Pi (it's boy's name) tries to stay alive and, you can be surprised, not let the tiger die too.
Actually, I didn't read the book but, I think, a director (Ang Lee) along with a film crew has done great work; some scenes are so wonderful and gorgeous that it's hard to take eyes off. In the picture in an excellent way is shown everything, especially the ocean environment: sea weather from dead calm to terrible storms and, of course, sea inhabitants (whales, flying fish, sharks and many more).
Besides beautiful scenes in the movie are also deep thoughts about relationship between man and God which can be good food for contemplation.
In other words, if you have not seen Life of Pi yet I strongly recommend to find two hours and watch it.
