I know this is not the place to talk about this topic, because it is not related to English learning; however, I want to speak my mind: These days I have been feeling a bit lonely and blue. For more than 3 years I haven't had a boyfriend and I really want to have someone by my side to share those things that you do with your partner. I'd love to have someone to chat when I get home, someone to go to the movies, someone to dance with, somebody to love. Nonetheless, I have seen that one of the greatest motivations for learning a language is love, many people know their love of their lives by traveling, by chatting online, by a webpage, and the only medium of communication they have in language, in most cases English. Therefore, if it is your case, go for it, practice English with that person you are knowing, it my be the love of your life, or maybe a good friend for life, or someone who helps you to practice your English and that you learn something valuable. I am still longing for that one. Let's see.

Hi, I saw your post. It got me thinking about love as a motivator for learning a language and my experience. Have a great day. https://www.myenglishclub.com/blogs/love-in-translation-how-love-tr...
Uhm, yeah, it sucks... I mean, as a not-very-social-person that I am, even I can understand this huge need to 'connect' with someone.
If it makes you feel better, to be alone is one of the life experiences we have to go through. And many times can be better than to be with 'someone'. But yeah, I know 3 years could feel like 'endless' haha but well... that too shall pass... I guess :/ or well... what the heck i know! XD
Btw, the posts about learning english are usually boring. I rather this kind of topics :P
