We started our journey in the first day of this year. Though wanted to go before to see how do the people celebrate new year over there. Anyway, lets see, what did we do!
As usual, I traveled with my family. Our flight was at 9.10 pm...again at night. How could I say, how much I hate to travel at night specially by air! So, you may understood by this time, I did not enjoy the flight at all.
We reached Kl international airport around 1am ( local time means Malaysian time 3 am). After completion of immigration, we tried to find a Bangladeshi or Indian restaurant where we could take some food. And, finally, we found it. we enjoyed our early breakfast and tea. They served tea in a big mug which was more to gulp down.
As our next flight to Lankawi was 6 hours later, we had nothing to do more. We just roamed around and then tried to get some rest. To take this internal flight, we had to go to the Kl-2 which was a bit far away. We took a train to reach over there. It was an one hour flight from Kawalalampur (KL) airport to Lankawi. It was in a day light so, I enjoyed a bit. Before reached to the ground, our plane soared for a while on the sea. What was a scenery but along with it, I thought for a moment whereas the plane touched the water surface or not...lol
Lankawi is a beautiful island. There are many beaches. All beaches are fantastic so far I could see. There are many things to do. Boat riding, eagle feeding, snorkeling, scuba diving, cabal car but I did nothing!
I just savour the time looking towards the natural beauty as much as my eyes could see. I seated besides the beach and observed the beauty of the sea with my bare eyes though I had to put on my glasses ...lol. I moved around here and there...even I enjoyed the poll side gardening of the hotel where we stayed for 3 days. In the every evening, we went to the beach side, there we took snacks and drinks which was followed by dinner. And, of course, I must say, if I knew before, I must stayed 10 days over there.
There one day we hired a taxi to move around and we tried to see important locations of this island, e.g. Eagle point and many more.
Really, the scenery around the island is just superb! We found Bangladeshi cuisines over there. If you wish there are plenty of sea foods around the beach side. Oh..I did some shopping also and My kid plucked enormous trivial things from the sea shores! One evening with the sinking sun we made sand house...
to be continued.
