I used to enjoy buying books and subscribing to magazines - you bet most of them are about English learning. Not until recently, however, did I realize that I shouldn't keep buying such books or magazines any more.
I need to find time to reread some of the articles because I know I may have rushed things when there were so many articles to read.
Yes, it can be so boring to reread the articles which are not new or fresh. I tried to pick up an old magazine (published a couple of years ago) the other day, and tried to read some of the articles, but guess what? I found myself reading them as they were newly published. I learned a lot from rereading the old articles.
Anyway, I read them to learn English - not to mention they are so well written and still interesting.
What? New Year's resolutions? Oh, yes, for me, it's the whole box of English magazines I just picked out. Does it sound like a great resolution for a new year?

We may have failed to get it when we first read something. Chances are you'll get it when you reread them after so many years of learning English - the better your English, the more you get. Thanks.
@Mohammad
Great comment! You're not alone - my son loves books, too, and hates to throw away the books which he'll never read again.
@Daniel
Thanks a lot.
For sure Expector. Go for it!
I also used to enjoy buying books, but unfortunately not to read them !!
@nechel
Thanks for the comment. Yes, you reread something old, but learn something new. It may sound like 'review' or 'revise'.
@Kevin
Yes, I agree with you. Watching TV series or drama on computer can be so rewarding, though. Thanks.
@Onee
Yes, it's a good idea to read newspaper articles. Make sure you're reading a quality one. Try to pay attention to the phrases or idioms and the grammar when you read - since we read to learn English, not really for the information. Thanks.
@setareh
Yes, I may have missed something when I first read the articles. I'll try to get it when I reread them. And, what's your resolutions for 2016? It's time to make New Year's resolutions. Thanks.
What a BRIGHT idea, Doc!
I actually wanted to read English newspaper, but here is rarely. For magazine...Ohh, for this I agree with Batuhan. I will drain my pocket. hehe.. And.. reading online is tiring......when it come to long... So, I will try to search for newspaper again.
Sure, the articles are always well written there. That's why I wanted to read.
@Batuhan
You really have a point there. Thanks for sharing the link - I'll check it out.
@mitran
Yes, reading can be so soothing. Thanks for the comments.
@Alice
'Wattpad' sounds like a good place to read. I'll check it out - thanks for sharing.
@Adaline
Thanks.
@Afro
Yes, it's a good idea to reread/re-read your blogs. You'll be surprised to find how much you've learned from rereading those old blogs.
@Mishaikh
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you agree with me. Keep it up.
@noasl
Great to hear you're trying to reread some books, too. It's relatively easy to reread magazine articles, though. Thanks!
A great new year resolution. I love re-reading certain books, even though I know the story by heart. I want to finish a novel by EM Forster - A Room With A View, hopefully by this year. It's a classic, so it takes a little bit of time to read.
Next year, I hope I can be back to my old habit, reading 2 - 3 books in a week. :D :D
