Since nowadays some useful riddles as well as equal sounding words are published, I wonder if someone could help out here. Is the below given claim possible?
John while James had had had had had had had had had had had a better efect on the teacher.
or is the next one likely?
I like like, likely like you like likeliness and the other one likes likelihood.
Darn foreign languages can be this confusing.

Hi all.
First of all, thank you for taking the stress to try to understand what I wrote. Lol
Of course, such a sentence probably never would be written or spoken out. But according to Panie Rysperski´s explanation and the english grammar rules the "had had" sample is possible. 99 points to Rysperski. :-) I have been taught that by an american native english teacher on another english teaching site.
The "like" sample was created by myself ponderring on the multiplicity of the meanings and the variety of possibilities in that simple word. And the same teacher proved the likelihood of grammatical correctness.
Wish you all a great day.
Oi there, folks
I wouldn't be the likes of me if I did not find a fault even where there is none...LOL...
As I noticed, the English language is not only thistle'd with grammar, but also with interpunction marks which give that language it's suave and smooth flow plus enable the sentence to be properly understood by the allocation of stress, accent and intonation!
Having said the above, I would see the first sentence in this composition:"James, while John had had "had", had had "had had"; "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher"
Hope I was not yapping up the wrong tree!!!
