I am an Indian, my name is Pankaj and here, I am going to tell you why India is best travelling destination for the bag-packers?
India has 29 states and more than 1600 languages. It is a mix-up of various cultures and traditions. According to area It has seventh place in the world, but according to population It has second position in the world. It has various religions ( Hindu, Muslim, Christen, Sikh, Jain, Buddha). India is a rich country of natural and historical places. Here, you can get many ancient historical forts, monuments, temples etc. Here, for me it's hard to explain all the things about my country, but I will try to explain few main things about India. It's a such type of country where u can explore the things in your limited budget. India is not much expensive as other countries are. The details of few things are given bellow -
Delicious Potato Paratha on the street = 30 cents
Chai (tea) on the street = 10 - 15 cents
Decent Room = $7
16 hour train ride = $7
Meal in a clean healthy restaurant = $2 - $4
Bollywood Film in fancy theatre = $2 - $3
Starting fare on a rickshaw ride in Mumbai = 25 cents
30 minute cab ride in traffic in Mumbai = $2 - $2.50
2L of Water = 50 cents
So, If you will see the above list, then you will get that it's not much expensive.
The touristic places in India -
Rajasthan - It's a royal state of India. It has many historical places and beautiful cities. Some best cities are as follow -
Jaipur, people called it "Pink city"
Udaipur, people called it "Lake city"
Jodhpur, people called it "Sun city"
Jaisalmer, people called it "Golden city"
Above cities are famous for it's culture, traditions and historical forts.
