Independence Day of Ukraine
On August 24, Ukrainians celebrate Independence Day! It is a famous day for Ukrainian people, because 26 years ago we have finally get our freedom. This path was not easy for Ukraine and for Ukrainian people. And even gaining independence we still have many very difficult challenges of fate. But i believe that strength of will and insurmountable spirit will help us to overcome the difficulties.
In this day Ukrainian people are greeting each other using such phrases: first one says "Glory to Ukraine!" and second one answers "Glory to heroes!!!" There are many different translations of these phrases but no one 100% correct. I just want to say that it is more that just phrase, it shows Ukrainian past, nowadays and feature, and reveals Ukrainian desire of freedom!

I know your slogan in Ukrainian but in English I would say something like this:
"Long live Ukraine!"
"Glory to its heroes!"
but your translation is correct.
Dear Roman, I am sorry for not congratulating you and other Ukrainians yesterday, but it is better to do it later than never. I do know your people lived through hard times. But you are strong insurmountable nation and you will overcome the current problems you have.
