That sounds interesting. So I think of a writing challenge: WATER Idioms.Task: very simple, we just try to make sentences with Water Idioms as many as possible. So here is my example:The main reason for me learning English now is I don't want to forget all my English which I have learned for a very long time. I don't want my English becomes "WATER UNDER BRIDGE".Another reason is I like traveling aboard. English is necessary for going abroad. But you know, I will not spend money LIKE WATER. I mean I will go abroad in the next 5 years [to Europe maybe] (not now). I need to earn and save enough money. I don't want to be broken. So I will have to KEEP MY HEAD ABOUT WATER.(Traveling by plan is more expensive but I don't want to move BY WATER. )Back to learning English, today I want to try a new writing way. The matter of fact, I'm not definitely IN DEEP WATER while trying to make sentences with those Idioms.I hope some members here feel interested to try my challenge so it will not be DEAD IN THE WATER. Hope they can do it well like A DUCK TO THE WATER not A FISH OUT OF WATER. I also hope other members will not POUR COLD WATER ON my challenge. So that is all I can do.Will you try?

  • Thank you Elena. About 70 percent of the human body is made up of water and, coincidentally, more than 70 percent of Earth is covered in water. (I found this sentence in the internet).

  • Thanks Ann, a very nice blog, water is so essential to life!

  • Yesterday, when I commented on this blog for the first time, I really didn't know that I will get into hot water, and what a hot water !!. That's because I didn't test the waters before commenting. Now I'm like a fish out of the water and don't know what to do. Unfortunately it is too late and I must try to keep my head above water. The owner of the blog has written many idioms like water, and forced us to write a book for her. By coming hell or high water and in deep waters, I finally decided to write some sentences instead of the book for her. Next time, I will know what to do, I  will not comment on her blog like a duck in the water !! Did you want this !?    :)

    Thanks & Cheers
