Idioms on the word 'cut' are not CUT AND DRIED for me.
At the first look of Alice and Mishaikh’s blogs, I feel it is so complicated. I intend to CUT THROUGH them. However, when I read the meaning of each of them, I can be CLEAR CUT (But they are still very difficult to remember). So I will CUT TO THE CHASE: I 'm CUT THROAT trying to build sentences with those idioms. (I hope I can CUT THEM FINE. But It still seem like CUTING NO ICE. Some sentences are CUT OUT FOR the meaning.)
I'm thinking and thinking again but I can't make more so I CUT UP RUSTY. I also don't know that my sentences are right or wrong. I should CUT THEM OFF and CUT THE CRAP now before I CUT UP SAVAGE.
This blog is not CUT ABOVE THE REST of mine but I love it.
Meaning:
cut and dried: simple
cut through: to avoid or bypass something complicated
clear cut: clear and certain, without doubt
cut to the chase: go straight to the point
cut throat: fiercely competitive
cut it fine: fine
cut no ice: not working
cut out for : not suited for something
cut up rusty: get angry
cut off: reduce
cut the crap: take out the unnecessary things
cut up savage (ugly): get mad
cut above the rest: better quality than most others, superior value than other people
Hey, do you want to make a sentence with 'cut' idiom. Pls write down! I 'm eager to see.
