In my previous blog I have described a bit about Yin and Yang, but I’m sure that doesn’t explain much to make it more understandable. It is not very easy to define them in a quite accurate way, but I guess for the purpose of self therapy I can say that Yin is related to Weakness and Yang is to Strength. The table below may help you better grasp what Yin and Yang are.

When the condition of a body organ is weak, we tonify the acupuncture points that will cause it back to normal. On the other hand if the organ is overactive we will do the sedation.
