Bravo! You have discussed here an appropriate topic as it was a top story in Sri Lanka recently as some people engaged with the Ice bucket challenge which raises money to get afford for preventing Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). As a developing country we should have thought about that in a well manner whereas the people in the several areas were badly affected by drought. It is great value for the distressed, even they have a water bottle, meanwhile wasting water and money for such a baneful project.
I'm glad you pointed out the waste of drinkable water. When I lived in Botswana water was the difference between life and death out in the Kalahari Desert. We had to drink some pretty dirty water on occasion but were able to boil it first. Water is the thing most necessary for life after Oxygen.
Very interesting, Cup Cake. You raised a good point. I've been thinking about all that wasted water as well and the people on the other part of the world without water to drink. It's a shame! My family members have participated in the challenge after being nominated and to be honest we got a lot of fun out of it. I have been nominated by a friend also but I never took the challenge. I wasn't sure if this is something I'd like to do just for the heck of it.
