I am very frustrated now. I want to express myself in English! There is something inside me that I want to express through writing but I cant do it because I am not confident with my English. There are lots of things that I want to share to other members but my vocabulary is very limited. I am also frustrated because my goal is to become fluent in English this year but I failed I am not fluent in speaking and writing English...
I remember you put yourself as a beginner on your profile at the early stage this year and now I can see you've changed it as 'Upper Intermediate' which means, I think, that you are now more confident than before in writing. I don't know what level or how far you think you have to go & obtain good results for your progression, and when you think you will be then fluent with your English. However, I think you have a great potentiality for your future improvement sooner or later, and I also know that you have more advantages than other Asians (such as Korean/Japanese/Chinese) as you are using the Latin or English alphabets which are similarly familiar with your native language(please correct me if I am wrong).
As for me, I am the worst one who's been frustrated in improving my English during my permanent staying in UK over 20 years, where people speaks in English only. Perhaps you will understand more about me if you read my blog/testimony (http://my.englishclub.com/profiles/blogs/some-dilemmas-amp-future), and plus, you will see how I've been improving my English in comparison with then and now, although I am not fluent & have a lot to learn myself for the future improvement in writing & speaking. Hence, LET'S NOT GIVE IN TO DISCOURAGEMENT!
Hi Juan,
I understand that this is a frustrating feeling. Did you know that you expressed yourself perfectly in this paragraph? You should be very proud of yourself. Your writing is better than many native English speakers.

@Naresh Plenty of members on MyEC have very strong English skills, yourself included! Thanks for sharing the link.
@Miss Sara You are right. As long as others get the picture, that is the main goal of learning another language. Communication is key.
You already speak good English. Your writing is nice. You don't need to speak English as fluently as a native English speaker. And, it doesn't mean that you need a wide vocabulary to express your ideas or thoughts clearly and efficiently.
Please bear it in mind that English is not your 'mother tongue', so it's quite possible that sometimes you feel frustrated in your learning. And, 'never giving up' is the key to success. Maybe you shouldn't have set your goal too high. Enjoy the learning and make it your lifelong goal.
