Are you shocked like me? I think many of us built a lot of perceptions before joining this valuable educational club.
I also think we had lots of Imaginary conversations in our minds we managed between us and those native English speakers.
However, many of us expected daily benefit from the linguistic outcome and wished more cultural exchange.
But what shocked me was that I was surprised that some take this wonderful club as a dating venue!
Aren't we all unanimously agreed that we are here to learn, and that this place is not for dating?
Any of you is stunned and shocked like me?

Haha, that is funny. Do people really think it's really possible to find a serious relationship on WEB? Please tell me it is not serious. Tonight I want to try somone for sex or ONS. Maybe, i will be use tinder or some webcam site. Now I found a site that contains reviews on different adult sites, very interesting to read, in fact. Here's an example HookupMasters.com you can get a lot of information before registration and understand whether this site suits you or not. On many hookup sites after filling out the form you need to pay money to continue to use the site or be able to write to the girls.
Hahahaaaa, that is exactly what many members here are looking for! Just they call it LOVE, and write fake love letters and poems for that. Actually not at all. Why should many natives join an English learning website? You can join so many forums around the world used by native English speakers...
3. I think you can be grateful when your chat partner makes it clear what he/she is up to. Because then you can just tell them you have no interest, or block them if they're annoying or disrespectful. (Sure you can also complain, but I'd save my time for other things.)
4. Of course many women are for the same reasons here, not only guys!!
5. What you should really care about are those who don't tell you that they only here to find fresh meat for their perversion. Because those first talk innocently with you, and try to gain your trust. Only when they get you on other social media websites/Skype/etc. they suddenly show a different face.
6. What was shocking for me is that so many women stay friends with these abusive members.
7. If you're not interested in flirts and sexual contacts, than there are not many members left to talk in this chat room. Good luck in finding them!
8. What I learned on EC the hard way that you have to become really unfriendly and aggressive to get rid of certain people.
9. But you can still write and comment on blogs, chat in the main room, or talk with female members. Or just skip the whole chat thing. ;-)
10. Ahhh... and I almost forgot: Never ever enter the other EC chat room. (I'm not linking it) Then you'll see how people behave when nobody cares...

THANK YOU. I'll follow your advice and think about changing my profile picture. But, when I joined this club, I did so as friends of mine recommend it as it has native speakers members. However, I do block those who annoy me of course, and I do save my time neglect reporting them. Moreover, I like commenting on those members who I know well, and I like to analyze poems; I adore poetry.

Well.... many of my friends here recommended me to take off my personal picture.... Since then I have never been shocked anymore ))) So...maybe you can do the same. Cos beautiful women attract attention....and if this is not your aim ...you can just change your profile picture. MyEC is NOT a single gender network and it cannot be managed alone. The management of such a Free Social Media must be done collectively. Not by a limmited number of people!
In the past, a large number of people worked collectively and actively on this website to make it a better place for learning English. But today, unfortunately, the number of such people has decreased. Today, The number of hands that feed is less than the number of mouths that eat.
Yes! There is a problem! But you have to ask yourself, "What can I do to help to solve this problem?"
I tried my best to make this site a better place to learn for free by posting some blogs and managing SKYPERS Group. But we need more active people!
In Farsi (Persian) we have a proverb that says "one hand has no sound!" This proverb is based on the fact that we need two hands to clap! It points out that "Two heads are better than one!" and "Union is Strength!"
