How to recognise People

Once a person meet Ameerul Mominin Umar Radhiuallah Tala an and praise somebody

Umar (rd) Asked him :- Why do u praise Him,

Person Answered :- He is very Good Person

than

Umar (rd) Asked Him :- Have you Traveled with Him, or Journey with him ?

Person Answered :- No

Umar (rd) Asked Him :- Have u made any deal with him or any money transaction ?

Person Answered :- No

Then

Umar (rd) said to him you have not made any Traveled & deal with him, How u can say the person is good because u can recognize person is good or bad at the time of Travailing & dealing
