How to Carve a Pumpkin (audio)

Last year on EnglishClub.com we added a lesson on How to Carve a Pumpkin. This year, I recorded an audio track for it. But, be careful...this is not my usual voice.

1. Listen to the recording without the text. (Make sure to turn up your volume to full blast.)

2. Try to catch the gist. What on earth am I saying?

3. Listen again while reading the 10 Easy Steps. (This is a useful activity. Many English speakers do not annunciate as clearly as English teachers.)

4. If you have a mobile device from Apple, try the Halloween Voice Transformer. Only the Reaper is free.

5. Go carve a pumpkin!

@Tara aha! I think it's easier to listen to anyone talks slowly either old or young, right!

Sometimes, Thick accent sounds a bit unclear. That is what I think.

@YmnPearl I think it forces learners to listen carefully. It's a lot easier to understand the English of a teacher, but can you understand a person with a thick accent, or an elderly person, or someone who speaks very quickly? Sometimes we have to listen more closely to get the gist of what another person is saying.

It was a little difficult for me. I couldn't catch all words too.

I shocked when I heard your recorded voice. :D

Nice way, but does this way use to help learner focus on vocabs?

Hahahaha, that's too funny, i couldn't catch all at first but i will listen to it again. Though you wrote that you used the voice transformer, your recording made me laugh so much Tara, as i was imagining your face while talking this way. Too funny really !
