I just glanced at your "I ain't that sure..." and took it as "I am not that sure...". That was why I left that comment of mine. No disrespect intended at all...!
@MARY __ Yes, "dies" is pronounced "diez" with a buzzing sound zzzzz as in "buzz". On the contrary, "dice" ends with a hissing sound sssss as in "bus".

MARY,
Always a pleasure.

Gabriel Sworian, 'dies' is pronounced 'diezzzz'... as if you were lisping? Uhm... okay... Lisping is fun, I don't have anything against that.
@ A738a
The words 'dies' and 'dice' are not homophones.
'Dies' ends with a /z/ sound (as in rise), whereas 'dice' ends with a /s/ sound (as in rice).
Sure thing, Olga.
Hope your students feel the same, ya know.
I ain't that sure about dies and dice, though.
Nobody likes a kiss-up, Roman.
Ya're welcome!
I didn't know about die = dice
And I like heroines especially Catwoman!
Thank you!
