I am not going to say that I am a new member. Because I am not.
MyEC was a big part of my life when I first started practicing English back in 2009. I used to be online every single day, until maybe 2012.
I used to go by the nickname (Skoon Al-Bahr). What a fun time!
I do not remember how I stopped coming here as I used to. I guess, life?! 🙈
Regardless, I am happy that I am here today. And let me tell you, I had to reset my password, and that was a hassle. The email I signed up with years ago had already become obsolete, haha. So I had to reset the password for that email too in order to be able to reset my password here and be able to log in! Nevertheless, I am so happy that it worked out well. 😊
I am so happy that I am here after all these years. I would love to connect with the people I met back in the days, as well as some amazing new friends!
Here is a little bio about me.
My full name is Sharifa Bahri, and I am a linguist.
I am 29 years old. I am originally from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I moved to the US in 2014 to purse my graduate studies. I did my Bachelor's in English in Saudi Arabia and my Master's in Linguistics in the United States. Now I am doing my PhD in Linguistcs. I go to the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I love traveling. I call myself "A Saudi Girl to Travel" haha!

Yeah, indeed...I only wonder how you, guys, can keep away for such a long time ))). It's like a Friday social club...at least once I week one needs to come and enjoy it here. Sometimes maybe even have such a productive day as I had today.

Yes I agree, MyEC is a great place to practice English. When I first joined in 2009, my English was terrible. MyEC has made it possible for me to meet friends and practice my English. And before I knew it, I was able to get a good IELTS score and was able to come to the US to do my studies. It was a dream, and it came true. :)
