Have you ever dreamed in English?

One of my question for English learner is "Have you ever dreamed in English?".(This dream is to experience a dream of while asleep.)>どんな夢を見ているの??

I've heard total myth like this. When the person who studies English has dreamed in English one night, his English ability improves drastically.(I don't know this myth is true or not.)I've met the Russian girl who moved America from Russia 1 year before when I stayed in America. She was 8 years old when we met.Her parents couldn't speak English at all, but her brother and her English was very fluently. One day, I asked her this question because I'd never met the bilingual kid.She answered that her dream was all English.I was impressed. And I envy her, very.Because during my staying in America, I never dreamed in English.I was dying for dream in English since hearing that myth. One day, I dreamed that I talked with my host sister. But she spoke in Japanese in my dream.(She couldn't speak Japanese at all)I am bummed. If you have a experince your dream in English, please let me know.

  • Hello masayo..Thanks for saying that..At least I know that still I have my sanity..(jejeje)

Hi Hendro..Yes Of course..You are right..It's not bad to dream a dream that you are already achieve your goal in English..But dreaming should have a twin..And that is PRACTICE. It's not only wishing or wanting, it should also have a conscious effort in your part. And like you, you have that effort to talk to others in English. A conscious effort that you know by practicing it with them, you can learn English..So that's good, my friend..

Bye..Goodnight to both of you..Now I will go to sleep..and try to dream English again..(maybe this time I dream this..and the myth will effect to me..jejeje)

  • Hello, mayumi. I think you are difinitely not crazy or obsessed person. You are just eager to study and think about English. That is wonderful thing. And I have to study English more to say "English is my priority!".
  • Hi,Serene. Your dreams are non language, it is exactly interesting. Do they have any color,or monochrome? just I wonder...
  • I rarely have a dream and if I have I likely to forget it the next morning. But I use to dream a daydream. A day dream of talking in English with someone for example a friend from EC. At first I consciously know what I am talking. I am the one who create the scene in my imagination then after a while, the one that I imagine is also now talking back to me in English. Without effort or conscious mind, he/she talk in conversation just like he/she has own mind..I don't know but this experience is so amazing..I noticed that I experience it when all day long what I am thinking is no other thing except English..It's like until in my imagination, English is my priority..Am I crazy or obsessed? I don't know..(jajaja) What do you think?
  • It's interesting that my dreams are non-language at all. Ha--
  • Hello,Jason. I am not in America now. I back to Japan 5 years ago, so I study English because I don't want to forget to speak English.
