Today is National Black Cat Day. Black cats need a bit of TLC at this time of year, because they are traditionally associated with witchcraft and evil. Some people think it's bad luck if a black cat crosses your path. Of course, black cats are just beautiful animals and deserve to be loved and adopted just like other cats.
I've written and recorded a Halloween story this year about a black cat that is afraid of Halloween. You can listen to it here. If you want to read along or if you are a teacher, check out this post: Listen & Draw Halloween Activity.

Happy Halloween Tara! Black cats are also animals of God. Nothing to worry about them :) Nice, funny story!
I am waiting for the days when the cats will be celebrating a similar day but with interchanged characters.
Very Interesting Tara.
Yes it was once thought (I think not now) bad luck if a black cat crosses your path. Like I said now the cats are thinking in the same way about human.
It's the first time I've heard of this day to honor black cats and a good thing too because I think black cats like the color black (which is my favorite color) have a charm of their own, mysterious and elegant at the same time! :)
My respected lady Tara Benwell, just the other night, I told my Malay teacher, NoasIpIs that
I was really afraid of cats. and they always give me the creeps
Lovely voice to listen. Thanks for sharing Tara. I like it.
