Happy Independence day TO all Pakistanis..!!!

Today is 14Aug. 14Aug is the big day for Pakistanis, is known by Independence day..

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL

At this Day, Pakistan Achieved freedom/independence from British rules in 1947.

so 14Aug is celebrate as an Independence day every year.

I wanna share some basic knowledge about Pakistan at this day..!!

Pakistan: means PAK: pure and ISTAN: land in Urdu(national language of Pakistan) and Persian language.

Official name of Pakistan is ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN (Islami Jumhuriyah yi Pakistan).

Father of Pakistan is Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Pakistan Flag:

White Represent religious minorities, and Green Represents Islam where Star represent Light and knowledge, and Crescent symbolizes progress

National Flower:Jasmine or Gardenia

National Sport game: Hokey

National Animal: Markhor (Capra falconeri, Persian/Urdu: مارخو)

National Bird:Chukar

National Fruit: Mango (known by "King of fruit")

National Drink: Sugarcane Juice (gunney ka rus )

National Dress: shalwar KameeZ

National Mosque: Faisal Mosque

National Poet: Alama Muhammad Iqbal

I feel so wonderful to know some Pakistani friends here on MyEC. I've just realized that I had about 20 Pakistani people on my friend list. It's no surprised, Pakistan is the sixth country of the largest population in the world.
