Hallo...win...win...

How is your Halloween? My Halloween is:* I knew about Halloween since I was on the second year of High school. My school organized a Halloween night. That time I just knew Halloween was the day that people wore costumes. Some friend was dressed as a Vampire (Dracula). Some used toilet paper to disguise himself as a Mummy. And many others just wore normal clothes. I didn't know what to wear so I made a butterfly mask by myself. Although I went there by my own (without any friend), I had a happy Halloween night.* My second Halloween memory was about my dancing class. It was the third year since I stared working. I was free after work at night so I took a dancing class with my close friend (a girl). It was at a Salsa club. There were many foreigner in that club. So that when my teacher celebrated Halloween, many of them wore costumes. Two most impressive people that night were my teacher and her husband. They were dress as Japanese Geisha and Ninja. Some guy wore bloody T-shirt. Some made up with lipstick to be looked like their months were full of blood. One other wore a fake knife in his head. They danced with each other. In fact I was just a beginning learner and hadn't known how to dance yet but I got a very interesting night.* On Halloween occasion last year, I went nowhere. I celebrated Halloween by my own way. I made a quilling Halloween card with an orange hair switch, her cauldron and her black cat. I like orange color so I was a lovely orange switch. Quilling made me happy. (I will attach the card image latter please).* This year, I will stay at home with my boring husband who does not like party or crowd much. It will be one of my most scaring Halloweens! :D(P.S: My country is a western country, Halloween is not our custom. You will not see children knock neighbor's doors for candies. However, nowadays in my city, many primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, universities celebrate this occasion. The kids might be asked by their teachers to wear costumes. I think it is a good tradition.)

  • To Alice E., wow it seems like that you have a very wonderful Feast of All Soul's Day. So it is on 30th October, isn't it Alice? Do you wear costumes on that day? Have a beautiful All Soul's Day Alice!
  • To Setareh, my husband will never agree to wear a custom. You know he is a fogey. But it is ok, I have my own way to celebrate Halloween. How about your family? Do you do something special? I wish you a good day! :)
  • Hi Elen, even that I do nothing I still can enjoy Halloween by writing about Halloween, reading news about Halloween, learning some vocabularies of Halloween, seeing the Halloween decoration of some houses at both side of the street... It still fun :). Thank you Elen! Wish you a wonderful vacation!
  • Dear Ann, how about making a custom for your husband and asking him to wear it, then have a little party of your own.:D I wish you fun.
  • What I prefer is the feast that goes with Halloween here in my country and that is the Feast of All Soul's Day where families and relatives gather at the cemetery to visit our dearly departed and we have sort of a reunion and guess what...a party!  Now what could be more thrilling and scarier than a party amidst the tombstones!:)

  • It seems that Halloween period is one of your favourite period of the year :) I hope you enjoy it again, even without doing something, just enjoy the atmosphere :)

  • To Mishaikh, do I mind if I tell you that I would like to correct your sentence: "I LIKE exactly the way you described your hubby. And I have always been remarked WITH this way."
In fact i'm not sure that my correction is right or wrong, so I think we should ask Vision. So Vision, can you please tell us my sentences are right or wrong please. I really appreciate your help! Thank you!

And Mishaikh, you know, I always make mistake. For example, in my comment to Evagelina I should have writen: "No, it is a fair thought" or "No, it is fair". But I did make a mistake: "No, it is a fair though Evan". I learn a lot from my mistakes.
Thank you so much for your comment Mishaikh. I hope you will not mind.
  • To Alfo: Thank you for your wish. Did you prepaid anything for the vacation this year alfo? Hope you a very happy Halloween!
  • To Evangelina: No, it is a fair though Evan because my husband will say no if I suggest to go to a Halloween party. :) He is afraid of crowd.
Wow you have two festivals to wear costumes. It sounds fun. Do you usually wear costumes?
  • To Vision: I have already added more details about our Halloween in this blog. I wrote it in my notebook before you asked me but didn't post yesterday. We do not usually wear costumes at home here in my country (as I know). I don't know if it will change in future. And yes as you said: all treats, no tricks :D.
