Summer is definitely full of fun and excitement. A lot of people prefer to spend their summer vacation in the beach(to escape the excruciating heat) or in the country side. Some prefer to go abroad and experience what the world has to offer. For me, I prefer to spend my vacation in a remote area in the province. Away from the noise and pollution here in the city. I always wanted to visit the City of Vigan in Ilocos norte.(Philippines) Vigan, Ilocos norte is a province in the northern part of the Philippines. Why do I want to spend my vacation in Vigan? Well Vigan is a very beautiful place. It is 12 hours away from the capital city Manila. There are many beautiful and historical houses there. Some of the houses there are hundred years old. There are also many beaches out there that will surely take your breath away. Another reason why I want to go there is the food. Ilocanos (people who are living in Ilocos) are known for their delicious and authentic cuisine. One of the famous food in Vigan is their Pinakbet (different local vegetables sauted in onion, garlic and tomato with Bagoong and pork). Everyone should try it to complete their vacation in Vigan. Most of all the people are very generous, hospitable and friendly. I am really looking forward to visit Vigan
I, too adore the beauty and serenity of Vigan...And yes, definitely the northern parts of Philippines are really wonderful places...And even I've seen them only in TV or magazine, I know those places are worth to visit....
