Corpus Christi has gotten the most rain ever recorded here. We are still having rains here and some flooding but only 44 families have had their homes flooded, so not too major a disaster for most of the city.Of course our hearts go out to those with the home full of water. The families have been given shelter and food until the water goes down. Maybe the houses need to be moved to higher ground.I am not posting photos of this because we have all seen many flood photos lately. Some people have tried to keep driving when the water on the road is deep. Their cars and trucks are ruined by the water if they go too deep and the motor is hurt by the water. I hear one man is dead because the water washed his car off the road where it was crossing lke a swift river.We still send our best wishes and hopes to Pakistan who have had it much worse than we have. Our flooding will be gone quickly once the rain stops.
Yes, I have faced such a terriblesituation in the past in my country. I can remember on how people struggled toget rid from that natural disaster. Thereafter, the local government took aright decision to make a new canal in that area to curb the water flow duringthe rainy season.

All is now Ok. We had so much water that it could not run off fast enough. We are lucky being on the edge of ocean so that when the storms finish the water can leave quickly. Only one person lost his life by his car being swept away. he thought he could stay inside it while he called for rescue, but he did not get the windows open quickly and that cost his life. When a car sinks the pressure outside will keep the window from opening.
It's always sad when people in one day loose everything. I think your government really helps to sufferers. Hopefully, you are with us, live and sound. May God help people in Corpus Christi and Pakistan!

We have seen so many natural disasters this year throughout the world. I'm tired of such things as floods, drought, mudslides, landslides, wildfires, typhoons, hurricanes, tornados, erupting volcanos, earthquakes, etc.
