It's important to practice regularly if we want to improve our English skills. Some of us may think it's an easy task, but actually it's a long and gradual process and takes a lot of effort, time and discipline.
As we practice and make progress, we can observe its benefits. We will feel more comfortable with the English language, and its grammar rules will be less hard than before.
Therefore, even though "Practice makes perfect" may seem like an old phrase, its message is deep and clear; the more we do something, the easier it becomes.
Now, let's look at a simple story/joke that talks about practice and its importance in mastering a skill.
Once a man was trying to find the way to the Carnegie Hall in New York City. It's a place where many famous musicians play at live concerts.
He asked someone, "Hey, how do I get to Carnegie Hall?"
The reply was, "By PRACTICE!"
It's a witty response that tells us that we need to practice a lot to become a good musician who could play at Carnegie Hall.

Sure Shoba, I will do as you say. How can I say no to a cute beautiful girl like you? If you tell me to jump off a cliff, I will do that also! Hahahaaaaa. I hope you will change your profile picture. It disturbs me. Can't sleep at nights. Many thanks to your clever response.
