EVOLUTION IN THE FAMILIES

Last weekend in a restaurant, while waiting for our meal I was watching another familiy having lunch, he was a black man and she was a caucasian brown haired girl, next to her there was a little beautiful coloured boy she was feeding, what I sometimes call 'coffee with milk ' although this one had more coffee than milk :D surely he had the dominant allele. Well the point is that I'm realising this kind of families or marriages are little by little increasing in the society and now nobody get surprised or point them since it's common to see them just when walking on the street and not only from different races but also (less usual) different religions. In my environment I can see the traditional family it's unavoidably changing with time. Besides of mix of races we can also see a lot of parents with adopted children who were born in China, Russia, Southamerica... , married couples of the same genre, fathers or mothers living with his/her new partner's children, single mothers who dedided to be with no man need and mono parental families. Furthermore, the role of the father and mother is changing in the family and any matter in the house can be managed by her or by him, as a matter of fact most of daughters and sons who 'leave the nest' have a previous period before getting married or settle a family in which they learn to do their homemaking.Summing up, families may look different, but they can be as strong as traditional nuclear families. In my view, the point is to enjoy a family togetherness and be happy. So, if my son in a future introduce me to a beautiful black subsaharian girl as his future wife, I'll be so proud to have a 'coffee with milk' grandchild :) and you?

  • Hi Coral,
Surely this couples have to travel more than others but it is also an advantage from my viewpoint
Thanks my friend for dropping by :)
  • Hi Saba,
That's the reason why racism have no sense in this world.
As for your last comment, I think we must educate our children but also respect their decisions. To be a father doesn't mean to own children so, when they become adults we can't interfere their decisions.
Thanks for your comment and sorry for my late reply :)

    Dear Onee,
Glad that we think similar in this matter, I wish more people think like us :)
  • love is blind, it doesn't care about race color or culture.some friends imply some advantages of getting married to someone from another country such as learning more about different cultures and bilingual children, another advantage is that the couples have to travel when ever one of them miss her/his parents:-D
  • Good principle, Estanis... :D [thumbsup]

Nice to see mix of races...... :))

  •  All human beings have originated from one family and are relatives to each other, this is a fact that we forgot it, if people from different cultures, races, religions love each other then we have a better world.

BTW, dear Estanis, I'm sure you'll be a nice father-in-law in future :D because you are open-minded and respect your sons' decisions.

  • Wow, she is sooooooo cute....

  • Hi Maya,

I think parents nor family shouldn't interfere in this matter, they might have different opinions but this is only between the lovers, so as you well say, nothing's gonna stop them if they really love each other.

For me there's one only race in world, the human one. Thanks for dropping by Maya :)
  • Hi Gerardo,

I,m glad that you think like that too. In my country times and traditions has changed so quickly just as regarding new laws, and sometimes is hard for the society to assimilate.
As you say the point is the happiness in the family
  • Dear Tanveer,
