Do you want to improve your English writing skills?
I am here to help! My name is Tara and I am a writer and editor. I help create materials and lessons for EnglishClub.com and TEFL.net. In my spare time I love to play with my kids, read novels, and write stories.
The best way to improve your writing skills is to write. So, let's get started. Here's today's writing challenge:
Describe yourself in three sentences. (Use the comments section to write your introduction.)
Comments
Thanks for your intro. Here's one thing to remember. When you use the verb "like" you can choose "to+verb" or the "ing" form. "I like searching..I like making"
Also, be careful with word choice after please. (This is a common mistake.) In your last sentence you need the verb "correct" not the noun "correction".
Great to meet you! Thanks for taking the writing challenge. Your introduction is great. I'm a simple person too. Keeping life simple is one of my main goals in life. This is often difficult in a world where everyone feels the need to be busy.
Here are a few corrections:
"like to make friends" or "like making" -after "like" you need to use the infinitive (to make) or the gerund "ing" (making)
"like to search" (same rule as above)
"Please correct" (correction is the noun; correct is the verb)
You can find more practice for gerunds (ing) and infinitives (to +verb) here.
I "would like" or "want to" to master my English writing and speaking skills.
