Every child starts going to school from the age of six or seven and till 16/17. The primary school teaches its pupils elementary skills, such as reading, writing, counting. The most important period is the secondary school, which starts from the 4th or 5th grade, depending on school. This is the time when children start learning Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Computing, and many other new subjects. At the 9th grade children face a very important period in their life. They have to choose whether to continue school education, or to leave for other types of educational institutions, such as college, specialized schools and else. If the pupil decides to continue studying in high school, which lasts for two years, he can enter the university after school graduation.
Every school teaches foreign languages. Usually these are English and German. But ordinary pupils learn them very badly because schools have bad English schoolbooks and English teachers. And if a pupil wants to know foreign languages he must to pay his tutor. That’s why nobody in Russia know English.
Generally education in Russia is not well. Firstly children have many subjects and they don’t learn them in time. Secondly the most of schools have out-of-date material for teaching. Often parents of pupils have to pay for repair of school or classes, textbooks, new apparatuses and etc. Also teachers don’t like to teach because they hate their job as they have little wages.
Graduating for school every pupil must pass United State Exam. How does it work? Nowadays there are two mandatory exams – math and Russian. Every pupils must pass them. But each university installs exams. For instance if you want be a veterinarian you shall pass Russian, math and biology. You can score until 100 points for every exam. I can say that it is impossible.
Pupils are thought that they shall not learn for getting new knowledge but for passing United State Exam. A lot of pupils score their psyche training for the exam.
In conclusion I’d like to say that study in Russia is not interesting thing. I can compare it with a incubator for children because adults try to give much burden to children that they are busy all time and don’t get into troubles.

All these educational issues are present in other underdeveloped countries like Brasil, India or China.
Well, over here, exams are the focus of every school, sometimes I think too much emphasis on exams rather than other things. Some parents even get stress out if their children are taking kindergarten's exams.
No, I have translated mayby not correctly. It can be called as United Public Exam Exam. We mean that it must be passed on a single day and by all pupipls. It is a very difficult topic and I will describe it later
Great! Thanks for sharing.
Education can be so different in different countries, but, as parents, we all hope our children will receive a good education. I really enjoyed the detailed account of your education system.
By the way, can you tell us more about "United State Exam"? Is it something related to the United States (the USA)?
