EC chat room has changed!!
I was shocked!! I was like this when I got in to main chat room today...
Actually everyone, not only me, we were all got shocked...
Then the next thing we did, After we were able to control ourself, was trying to find out its feature and trying to get accustomed with that. It was fun to explore this new look. There are some useful things such as "Ignore" button so you can ignore people whom you do not wish to talk to on your private room.

Well though it has useful things, still there are pro's and con's. You cannot pleased everyone, right? Some like it and some don't. So controversy arouse lol (exaggerating a bit).
Some said how they missed and loved the old EC chat room and some also think that the new one is ridiculous and gross. Anyway, today's hot topic was about its new look, the new look of EC chat room.

For those who like it, what do you like? And for those who don't, why???
Just want to know the reason why ;)
For me, I like it, but I hate for missing some emoticons! :S Arrghh...!! >:(

Well, everyone has their own way to learn something. Don't you agree? ;) So you get dizzy when you are in a chat room? :D Next time you are there, let me know. I will keep you not to get dizzy :D
About the new look, I have something to share :)
My full name is: Nguyễn Trần Đại Nghĩa, and the problem is the old chat box cannot display the unicode character so it change to something like NguOOn TrOn ĐOi NghOa, ya and people also call me Ngu (which means stupid in my language, Vietnamese) I was a lot upset about that, he he.
Another problem is sometimes there are difficult words and I couldn't understand, but the instant dictionary (Lingoes dictionary, it's a good one, I would like to recommend it for those who never use it before, and it's free :P) doesn't work when I double click or select the words in the chat box.
Now everything fine, everyone can see my name, I can use my instant dictionary, I love it. Thanks for updating :)
Why do I see my name on the private chat on the pic? I don't remember if we chatted in private today. Or did you try ignore button to me? Papap |)
I like the 'ignore' button, Tara. I guess it will safe many members here from disturbing members. But, maybe the problem is on each member's internet speed and computer speed. Those who have slow Internet speed or slow computer (like me) probably won't gain full benefits of this new chat room.
Thank you to everyone who helped out this morning! I really enjoyed chatting with all of you. I've noted your concerns and will get back to you about the missing emoticons. I hope you will all agree that the new chat is much faster and more efficient. Do you like the "ignore" button? Why or why not?
I read your blog, I have heard something about that conference thing before, but not sure what it is. I agree with you if we type/write correctly, newbies will follow us, and EC will be much more effective, as well as learning.
In the chatroom, lots of people write something at the same time that I feel I am in a tailspin! Well... I prefer to spend that time reading blogs or doing something like that...:)

Trust me ;) You never knew what kind of people you will meet on your private, so you can click this button and then you can live happily ever after without having these people bothered you.
Well about your question, for me, chat room help me to talk/type in English and to be able to survive in a conversation. It force me to think and reply fast. I can also get some expression from the chat room.
Well but you can't just chat all day long and wish your English improved because most chatters will shorten their words and use lazy typing so they can reply fast. Have you read my blog about it?

I too was surprised!! For me, it looks cool!! lol I liked it.
I didn't know that now it contains "ignore" button, as well. It may be useful for those who don't want to chat with everybody, but it is little bit rude, isn't it?
In fact, I don't use chatroom a lot. Sometimes, just to say hi to my friends.
A note: I don't agree that chatroom can be helpful for improving English, maybe I am wrong...What do you think about this?
