Determining the period of existence can be measured by many scientific methods, a person’s age can be quantified through the help of systematic test and to establish the chronological age of human is easy- we need to count forward from birth. On the other hand, earth’s age has been enticed mystification and misunderstandings to those who concerns physiological age of its creation.
Getting our factors right begins with knowing beginnings, but more than that is being able to differentiate one beginning from the other. I truly believe that our Earth was created million of years or even billions of years ago. There is countless evidence that will prove this planet is very old now, radiocarbon dating will help us to find out the carbon from once-living being. But carbon is not the only element that may help us from this quest, additionally, uranium-lead dating, for instance, the radioactive decay of uranium into lead proceeds at a reliable rate. As an extra, the very old zircon rock from Australia tells us that Earth is now, al least, 4.7 billion years old- plus and minus some million years.

erm... I don't know where you read that I said we shouldn't compare The Earth history to the time the human being appeared... why not? Actually, that's what I did in my comment and I think it's not a bad thing to compare this, since it gives you something to think about (like our behavior and actions since we appeared on the history of Earth)

Dear Ms. Mary, I agree with you in one thing that we must not compare the Earth’s existence to humans, this was a total misconception blurred mind have had created in the past, Science has spoken and showed evidence that the gap between the former from the latter was billion years. Regarding about the messed we humans had been created, yes this is quite noticeable that we did something or should I say that we contributed a lot to disorder. In spite of this fact, still I don’t lose hope for humanity; still, my stand is firm that it is good in each and every one of us that can formulate solutions to the messed we’ve created, that we can still make this world a better place to live in. There is something that amazes me, that's if we compare the history of the planet Earth and the time when the human being showed up on the stage. For making it simple: In geologic time, if we set the history of the Earth in 24 hours, the human being has been around just the last 2 minutes before midnight (at 11:58 pm / 23h. 58 min.)
We have been here just 2 minutes and look at all the mess we made in so very few time... This makes me not to feel any sympathy for the human being, even if it plays against myself.
This is hard to tell, but mabye the best thing would've been if the human being had never existed...

Amazing blog! dear, I am not curious about the planet of Earth age but concern about the fact of when the earth will end...
How large this universe is and our earth is only a small part of it, there exist more large planets,all these are moving in a disciplined way. Allah has bestowed the system, He is the controller of all these things, this is His gifts. After ending the earth and the world, A new life will start right after death, this life has started but no ending, there person will have to account for their deeds, who did good will get rewarded and who did unfairly and sinful act will get punishment. I am afraid of akhirah(hereafter) and tensed about that.
