Dear friends ...this is the first time i am writing something here. I am from india and as you must have know that india is known for its spirituality . I also born and brought up ina family where ppl trust on god blindly but none of us never experienced or seen the god ..what ever we see around us the mother nature ,our small body or this endless cosmos is this only a result of a bigbang from a nothing point or really there is a supream power behind it.
You guys are from different places i just want to know your opinion that how you guys see the things. ..
We ppl believe in karma means good deeds if i am the reason of someones sorrow then i have to lament for this. God will punish me for my bad deeds or sins.
Thats the reason i am vegetarian till now..
So what you guys think is all the things happened just by coincidence or some suprean power or cretor is there...

Well Rekha, you did a commentable work.
The puzzle you presented may be as old as human beings. May be unanswered or partially answered. One way it's a relevent question. you have to make your idea clear regarding the subject, ie., does God exist or not'. I am not here for a debate for or against the subject. Because it's not handy. Some time it may be another hot subject while on discussion. So for the time being pausing. Hope we shall discuss the same in a chat room.
See you.
Try to study all 'puranas' in Vedaas, you may find the answers.
Oi there, folks
Of all that has been said so far in connection with Rekha's blog, I fully agree with Mary's comment. If you adhere to the promise of some award for doing whatever you are told, then that's no belief, it is a contract: you do that I tell you and I shall award you according to my whim.
I assured that God always exist. God is Living God and King of Kings. I have belief in him because he has helped me in many ways. When I got stuck, I cried out to him. And he showed a miracle to me. I knew everyone has their private faith, no one can't change it. But if you just tried one time to believe in Lord, my God, your life will change. You won't have any worry or suffer any misery that can overwhelm you in this world.
Dear Rekha, please permit me to translate what Evangelina posted. It says:
Allah! There is none worthy of worship but He, the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows what happens to them in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never encompass anything of His knowledge except that which He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Rekha, thanks for your nice reply :)
Yeah, I can understand why you think religion can 'force' some people to make good deeds (even if it's for wrong reasons) and I know some religions have as 'rule' to be kind with poor people and give alms or stuff for charity. Is fake philanthropy better than nothing? Well... I prefer to think that just education can 'fix' that. If you give people a good education that instil values like solidarity and the beneficts of having a society that works together as a community... then nobody would need a religion that 'force' them to be good. They are gonna be good just 'cause of pure empathy.
Is not better just to feel empathy than fear? Living fearing a punishment or a terrible 'afterlife' must be like an endless nightmare. Anyway... Rekha, I'd like you to ask now a question to yourself: Do you think you'd be a bad person if tomorrow (let's imagine now) you stop believing in god? Would you be able to start hurting people or doing bad stuff just 'cause there's no god, not 'afterlife' and not any 'divine punishment'?
I don't know you and you can call me intuitive but... I believe you don't :)
Thanks for the nice conversation.
Hi Rekha,
I have one quote from a movie, sorry I failed to remember what movie.
"Firm belief comes from knowledge, not from emotion"
Have a good day!

Here is the English of what Eva has posted, she might have forgotten it. Anyway here it is:
Allah, none is worthy of worship except He, the Hayyul Qayyoom (the ever-living, the One who sustains and protects all that Exists).
Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him.
To him belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth.
Who there that can intercede before Him except By His permission?
He knows what happens to them before them and behind them.
And they will never encompass anything of His knowledge except that which He wills.
His throne extends over the heavens and earth.
And He feels no fatigue in Guarding them.
And He is Most high, Most Great.

Rekha this may help you to understand and resolve your confusion. Read it when you are free.
But there are abundance of those ppl who are doing good just because of the fear of god. If all would believe that there is no god then it may happen that cruality will come on its crescendo. There are several people who donates to needy ppl just to get some good deeds which they consider that god will reward them in there next life.. If this believe is doing good serving humanity, stoping crimes then its good to be a god lover
