Do you know that how many office MEMO go into basket everyday in the world?

As I have been working in an office as supporting staff, I have to make some note and analysis report to my boss. Every week, I check and review on documents, progress data and make a short note and report it to my boss. So, I have been working with many files, documents and data.

One day, my boss was going on a field trip and I got a request from head office to give some data they asked to my boss. I didn’t know what they are asking so I made a phone call to my boss. My boss said “search on my draft papers, and give it to head office”. So, I had to search throughout my boss’s draft papers. Unexpectedly, I found something that he used my short notes as draft papers.

I thought that my efforts will helpful to him. It saddened me to see all my efforts wasted. Perhaps I’m not good enough to be his assistant. But he should tell me what wrong with me. I couldn’t get back to work all day and I was wondering how many office MEMO go into basket everyday in the world?

Thank for your advice anele. I will. But Review and analysis report shouldn't keep like this... He should use these information for weekly meeting to have a good result in operation.
