The death penalty is the most severe penalty in Japan. It is mostly enforced for murderers that killed two or more people with murderous intent. Some people oppose it because they think it is against human rights. However, I wonder what they think about the human rights of people who were killed. No matter how many people a murderer kills, is it really necessary to think about the human rights of the murder? One problem of the death penalty is false charges. If the death penalty is enforced in the case of a false charge, there is no recovering from that. Does your country have the death penalty? Do you approve of it?

In my country, we do not have yet death penalty.
I'm in favor of death penalty. But I hope no innocent lives would suffer. The judiciary system must ensure that only those who deserve this kind of punishment are being penalized.
The right to life is irrefutable. It is by existing that we enjoy all other rights. If a person willfully murders and wouldn't show remorse, he becomes a threat to others' existence. Thus, in protection of life, that person loses his right to exist.
Death penalty, if properly utilized, is definitely a tool for the society to enforce protection of life considering not just the good for one person but the good of the many.

Totally agree with any gov. in the world in killing a criminal who deliberately kills another one. That is logically and religiously accepted for the sake of both sides.

Hi, Rose. Thank you for sharing your view. I almost agree with you, but I don't agree with one point. I think there is a big difference between murders and executers. The latter is just officers of the law. They enforce it instead of the person who were killed.
Of course, the death penalty must be enforced very carefully as you said. It should not be enforced on people who didn't kill people.
