Comments
Dear Leonardo,
If consider it from the point of view of grammar, it is right. But if you tell me "Give me water", I will not do it. ;)
It is better to say:
Could you give me some water? or can I have some water, please?
Thank you, dear friends fo your coments
Great.
How about 'I desire', 'I need', or 'I hope'?
Oh, what I WANT is to kiss that cute kitten in its nose! :3
Sorry, I get easily distracted when there are pictures of cats! Very good blog Linda! ^_^
(btw my cat used to do that! haha)
It is helpful for me :)
Dear Linda, I have learned that we can say ' I'll have' or 'I would like' when we are in a restaurant and we want to order food. Thanks for your nice post.
Thank you friends for comments :)
Noona, It depends from the situation. There is some differ between a need and want. When you WANT something, you wish you can have it, but you can live without it. When you NEED something, you HAVE to have it, it's essential. And you can't live without it. A need is a requirement for survival, e.g. breathable air.
So, you can say "I need a cup of tea", if you need a caffeine for a good health
Informative blog dear Linda.
