He held my hand soflty and looked me in the eye, smiling, his eyes were happy they were like two stars shining in the darkest night ever. He was silent, he didn’t utter a single word but his eyes spoke a million word at a time. Emotions, that I will never be able to put in words.
I always wonder, did he know that it was the last time I’ll ever see him?

Sometimes... you have heart to heart connection with people. A connection that isn’t romantic. In this blog, I am talking about a loved one’s death... I think he knew that it was last time... We met so many times before that... but never did he hold my hand like that and refused to let go..
He was very sick and not long after that he passed away....

I thought so even though I could not really know your story... I just felt it.
Your words reminded me of the moment when I held my father's hand before he died. Never again in my life will I forget how he looked at me, and how he held my hand in his hand. I'm sure he did not want me to notice his pain, he did not want me to think that this moment would be the last moment we saw each other. I think he knew it was the last time.
