You cannot always wait for someone to defend you. You should do that yourself. If you will look for one last person to stand at your front to accept all the pain that people are inflicting, that is so you.

A woman is a lesser sex they say but not a lesser person. She is capable to make someone feel she exist in a most brutal way possible. A person who doesn't have to wait in vain for her prince charming to bring out his sword and slash her offenders. That's not reality. What is real is that there are so many women out there who suffered a lot physically, emotionally, and socially. Their bruises can't only be seen outside, but also inside.

There is no argument about the saying "no man is an island" as it only means we socially incorporate ourselves to other people. It is vital, we need that to promote our development as a human being. But if that "other" person tries to surpass that certain "personal space" should you hold back and let that person pollutes your privacy that will give you pain and harm? Or, you will raise your voice or even your hand to fight for your peace that at stake?

People say a woman should only do house chores. They don't have to be educated because, in the end, they will only provide their husbands' needs at home. They don't have the right to vote because they don't think rationally in choosing who is capable. They can't even speak their minds because they don't have any sensible thoughts to say. Different scenarios of fear and terror shown from their faces when people thought of them as a sex commodity. The reality that they are like an object to sell and to purchase.

This is a cruel world and this world isn't conducive for a woman. Regardless of race, age, ethnicity, religion, and country you'll hear these issues as if a never-ending war against violence towards women.

Society thought and taught that women are faint hearted, vain, and just a woman. Aside from giving birth, nothing special.

Gender equality will always remain as an advocacy and will not come to the point that we don't have to advocate if we already have it innately.

So, why wait for somebody else? Change yourself. Make a difference. Educated yourself. Learn more.

No need to look for a savior because that's YOU.
