Day-3

Third day we went to Santosa... oh...how could I describe how beautiful it is!  A place, full of fun and amusement. It is said that 7 days is needed to watch the place properly, hey is it possible who are traveling for a short time. So, we just spend one day over there and enjoyed a selected part of it.

As I could remember now, we started our journey early in the morning.  That day we rode on MRT for the first time. Eating and drinking is prohibited during this journey otherwise people should pay penalty. Even children get the same treatment.

After collecting tickets and brochure, we moved towards another train which would take us to our destination. There is no worry to get the proper train because it goes only to Santosa and nowhere! Anyway we managed seats our self and started taking snaps.

You could enjoy the beautiful scene out of the window, you could stare at the lake beneath you and a lot of things. On the way back you could use the same train or you could ride on the cable car, it is your option.

It was a half an hour journey and we reached at the beach station! It was  a sunny day but we forgot to take umbrellas but  did not face too much problems as there are lots of shades for the visitors.

Then, we got in a bus, it took us towards the Under water world through a very greenish  way. I wish I could go through the path again! There are herbs and butterflies besides the road. And, I must add, every staff has a smiling face, seems they have no worry, it will help you to feel good.

Obviously, we enjoyed the Under Water World with  great enthusiasm. Lots of unknown and unseen creatures we could see, specially  I had fun to see  the sea- horses about whom I read in a book in my childhood. Moreover, we watched how  do they keep clean this site, it was just a co-incidence! But, how they do it in the main portion where they keep Sharks, is still a question to me!

Now, come to the main part....Pink Dolphin! Who clapped more, laughed more...kids or it was me....who knows...It was really a great part of our journey.  But I did not get chance to do snorkel...wish to try later.

to be continued.

  • nice one...

  • Ohnie, it is just a building with big aquarium.
  • Wow, Afroza!  Are you still in Singapore right now?  I have been planning to go there but just couldn't find time to.  About the underwater world is that something like an aquarium under the sea or just a building with big aquariums in it?

  • Singapore is a very well maintained city. There's a joke over there, "Singapore is a fine city. If do anything to break the rules, you will be fined." LOL
