The power of love

There lived a handsome young man in a small town. His name was John. He always was in the red ... not to say he was broke... nevertheless he lived on a large scale like a rich man. John was not stupid, only very lazy. He was an excellent chef but he didn't work at all. His parents always payed for his debts, so he never saw any reasons to change his behaviour. He was not a bad person... just, he never had learned to do anything in time or even to catch the ball before the bound.

And there was Clare, a very bright and pretty young woman. She was at the top of her class when she finished high school. She had the best study graduation of all students. She was diligent in everything she did. Her mother passed away when she was a little girl. So she had to learn very quickly what it means to have what it takes.

John and Clare got to know each other at a birthday party of a common friend and both fell in love at the first sight. Clare's father didn't want her to marry John. He was a smart man and he had already long ago noticed how profligate John was.  But Clare loved John and so he did not want to hurt her feelings and though he usually was an uninhibited person... he kept silent. He trusted Clare to be able to work out the matter with Johns laziness very soon. "She will change his life attitude, I am sure", he thought.

And ... he should be right because after the wedding John changed totally. He became  responsible as husband who supported his wife in anything she did. And even much more, he founded his own company where he produced very scrumptious food specialities. He wasn't longer profligate with resources and his reputation became eximious. It was as if he only had waited that someone kisses him awake.
