Danny's writing challenge ( A funny story!)

In this story, Squirrel and Mongoose are two characters who are from different parts of this world. You know, as this world is a bit round so they met and later became friends! In the beginning of their friendship, video calling was not available in all cell phones. So, they could not see each other when they talked!

One day, squirrel went to her university library. Her final exam was about to start. She decided to hit the books all day long. By this time, Mongoose gave her a phone call. Mon,' Hello, sweetheart, how are you doing?' Squi,' Oh, hi, right now I am very busy, can you call me latter, please?'

After 6 hours Mon gave another phone call. Squi answered him in a low voice. Mon guessed there was something wrong, he eagerly asked,'Squi, are you okay? Squi tried hard to stifle her crying and said,' Mongoose, in the morning when you called me then I had been in the library, you know how serious I am about my study, don't you?' Mon, 'Oh, yes, darling, I know but what's wrong if you are so serious about your study?'

Now, Squirrel just could not hold herself and Mongoose heard her crying...then Squi managed to tell him,' You know, I need many text and reference books for exam preparation and I found out many. I tried to get them to my desk all together. But, on the way back my both hands started paining, believe me darling, I just could not bear it and dropped them  right on my left leg... huhuhu....you see, what an unconscious girl I am, will you  remain my friend after it?'

Mongoose was wondering how come she dropped her hands on her left leg and if it were possible then how heavy her hands were that they hurt her that much! But,in the mean time, he remembered her English language skill...and started laughing....

  • I guess  Squirrel and Mongoose are friends in English Club. :D

It's interesting to drop the hands while crying..... LOL......

  • Dear Bet, here are some comments on your mistakes I'd like to leave on the blog

    1. "Squirrel just could not hold herself". I do realize what you mean. The correct phrase is "She couldn't control/restrain herself" or "she couldn't hold herself in check".

    2. "I need many text and reference books for exam preparation and I found out many". TO FIND OUT means to get some information from some source. Your Squirrel FOUND the books she needed or PICKED them OUT in the library.

    Have a great weekend!

  • Thanks....lol
  • Hahaha! Some people may think this story is funny for kids only. I would agree if I didn't know the author or have been a newbie here.

Dear Bet, I do like your story. Yes, you used only one of the expressions and it doesn't make sense in your story, but you tried to do your best! Thanks for trying! Our humor is different, but your story is nice.

I will tell you about the mistakes later. Roman has already corrected one.

Thank you very much for taking part!

  • Thanks a lot, Roman for pointing out!
    @ Ali, thanks!
@ Rose, happy to see your comment!

  • Nice and funny, bet. But I miss the mistakes. We should use the mistakes he pointed out.

  • Hahahahah! WOW! What a nice and funny story! Poor squirrel... I hope she didn't get any traumas or injuries.Btw, I like those expressions like "huhuhu" :D

Corrections: I think correct to say "Will you remain my friend" without "be"
