Some people say white lie does not hurt. Someone tells it to avoid hurting another person. I don't believe in that. A lie is a lie. Whether white or colored. God does not like dishonest or untruthful ones. In fact, lying is a bad habit. It shows insufficiency or decrease of the individuality. Cowardice or being afraid of something are one of its major merits.
The previous production leads to the story of that shepherd who used to lie to his village people.
Once upon a time, a shepherd took his sheep to a pasture to eat the grass. While the sheep were eating the grass he felt bored. He said to himself, (why don't I have some fun. Let me play with those imbeciles). He shouted to the people of the village,
(help! Help! The wolf is eating the sheep, the wolf is eating them).
hearing his shouts, the villagers ran to him quickly carrying their weapons to fight the wolf. To their surprise, they found nothing. The sheep ate the grass while the shepherd was laughing. They went back to the village. The next day, he repeated the same action.
(Help! Help! The wolf is eating the sheep) The villagers came to his rescue but this time, he was smiling. No wolf or any other wild animal was there. This time, the villagers knew that the boy was only lying and fooling them.
On the third day, three real wolves appeared from the side of the mountain and the shepherd could not see them. Then, they approached the sheep and started to tear eat them one by one. Suddenly, the shepherd saw this and started to shout and ran towards the village,
( Help! Help! The wolf is eating the sheep. I 'm not lying, why don't you believe me?)
The villagers heard him but they thought that he was lying. No one believed him. The wolves ate the sheep and then ran after the shepherd and grabbed him by his foot and cut the rest of his body till he was gone.

RK , for all your examples ... It's remind me of one member that i deleted him from my friend list months ago. because of he is mistaken me , he said I am the woman in all that your examples. He even used hard words n rude in his message , I think due to his anger and can not accept that i tell him the truth. I don't know why he can not accept the truth that he made mistake.
He is really makes me afraid and that is one of the reason why I not online. because after I deleted him, he still try to communication with me and I become afraid.

The main objective here is the intention and what lies in the heart. If I worship Allah for the sake of people seeing me doing that, it's not acceptable. Mr. Seeker and other members gave the same example like you and your mom. Lying in the case of reconciliation is not a sin. There are always exceptions, my dear good friend Dewi. Hello, Dara Sir. I know a lie is a lie and honesty is sometimes hard to accept but always give the happiness at the end. In here I would like to tell you that there a time that need us to lie just for a goodness, I ever lied to my mother and all my family who always love and care for me sincerely by telling them 'I am fine and please don't worry about me, even I give them a sweet smile'. While at the same time deep in my heart crying loudly and pain too much afraid of the future, wondering am I really can pass my day easily like nothing happen?. But the lie that i just did really easy their heart and mind. More my mom, she is 69 years old that time and I feel it is a sin if I let her keep worrying bout me and my son.
God does not like dishonest or untruthful ones, it is true. But God also the Most wise and Most Mercy, I believe that God will forgive me , more I not hurting nor give an infliction to other with that lie.
And the story ... I am sure that the villagers have a regret at that time for not believed him and found out that the man and the sheep was eaten by the wolves,although it is not a deep regret. That's why for remember it as lesson ( first lesson is do not tell lie that can hurt or give an infliction to other and yourself, second lesson is try to avoid any regret, because regret always comes too late) they take this story to avoid the same tragedy in future.

Nice topic and nice story . in every religion lying is a big sins. Every kind of lie and every method of speaking an untruth is not good . to speak a lie with the tongue it is similarly to write something false.

I agree, there's no difference, a lie is a lie. But honestly I'm not an honest girl all the time. :-(

Hehe, madloba da spasibo Milla. I agree with you in that direction. To every base, there is an exception. And before that Seeker gave the example of a child who needed milk and it was not there and there are plenty of examples like that. The whole idea about lying is to deform the truth or right which causes bad consequences. Thanks Milla for your deep consideration about that blog.

Ок. You are a teacher. Let's imagine that you have a new studen that asked you to help him with English. He pays to you for it. But he has not propensity for languages. It is hard for him to learn English.You should to explain rules again and again.... What will you tell him? "sorry you are stupid in this area" or "you are a good student, don't give up"?
