  • Dear Bob,

Happy to see you again, sir.  Unfortunately, lesson 5 has already started and lesson 6 is about to finish.  I hope Dani will be able to join the quiz.  I plan to check the works of the participants tomorrow so she can still make it.

I'll go over her page and drop my usual welcome greeting.  Thank you so much Bob.

  • This looks like a very good idea Anele. I want to see how it works out for the students. There is a new member named Dani, who joined today. I think this would be good for her so she can start putting her English studies to use.

  • Wow... those are basic words but very confusing indeed.  Maybe It has something to do with lack of knowledge about distinguishing which word is a verb and which is an adjective.

Some of the learners actually don't know the 8 parts of speech which is very disheartening.

Thanks for your intelligent eyes, Noas!

  • May I add something that I always noticed in the chat room or even some of the blogs written by members? Some members seemed to be confused with the word "interesting" and "interested"

  • My dear Mickey,

Thanks for that wonderful comment.  I hope you'll join the others and take up the quiz, too.

    Dear Mitran,

I wish my goddaughter will one day be brave to confront any quiz or major exam that she might encounter in the future.   And I wish that she would not read your message of always running away from my quizzes, hahaha!

Take good care of my goddaughter always.

  • Doc, I need to change my setting because this blog was accompanied by the quiz which if not moderated, participants' answers will be seen by other learners and may copy them.  As long as the quiz is going on, I will have to delay the approval of some comments that contain answers to the quiz.

Anyway, after these quizzes and major exam, I will be back to my old setting.  Thanks again, Doc!

  • Dear Doc

You are absolutely correct.  I chose some simple and commonly used words but it's ironic to say that their simplicity sometimes brings us confusion as to which of them is appropriate to use.

There are actually hundreds of them but this would entail a long period to cover some of them.  Perhaps you can also shed light to this confusion by writing your own blog!  I would like to read your own version, too, Doc.

  • hic..hic...what can I do! hhhh...Please Teacher, please forgive me...Your goddaughter makes me crazy (hahaha...I'm not lazy, just because of her then I could not join the lesson). Oh, It's really a "good reason" hehehe....

  • Your blog is always so captive!
