Complement Each Other.

 I came across this picture on Facebook and was completely struck by the image. Everything about this photo is touching to me. In this picture, a blind man was cycling while his wife who is also disabled person gave him directions.

 “A pious wife can make a poor man feel like the richest man in the world.”

In my humble opinion, there are some lessons we can take from this picture;

  •   If you and your partner complement each other, you make a perfect couple. As the definitions of “complement” which means “combine to produce a good overall effect”’, even though we do not all share the same values, lifestyles and opinions but if you put togetherness as ingredient in your life, both of you will be a perfect pair. Always consult to solve problems and practice togetherness in managing your life.

  •   Although we are poor, disadvantaged or disabled persons but that's not a hindrance of our success. Success can be achieved through various ways, efforts or actions even if our ability is limited. Sooner or later, if you focus and set your smart efforts you will be greater than the normal people. We should take the inspiration from many disabled or poor person who achieved greatness in their life. One of them is Helen Keller. American educator Helen Keller overcame the adversity of being blind and deaf to become one of the 20th century’s leading humanitarians. Below, some of her best quotes;

·         The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.

·         Walking with a friend in the dark better than walking alone in the light.

·         Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

·         Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

·         Everything has its wonder, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I maybe in, therein to be content.

·         The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.

  •   Be grateful for what we have, believe in the divine will and certainly there are provisions wisdom behind every scene. God has created causes and reasons. We may be born as a defect or poor but our lack of ability can inspire and motivate others to improve themselves. Prove others that you who are lacking of ability can successfully manage yourself and your life.

We must believe that what we have planned for sometimes does not happen as expected. No need to blame yourself or whatever around you. Be positive and be patient for what was destined for you.

Last but not least, I would like to quote what Shane E. Bryan once said,

“I do not have a disability, I have a gift! Others may see it as a disability, but I see it as a challenge. This challenge is a gift because I have to become stronger to get around it, and smarter to figure out how to use it; others should be so lucky.”

Have a nice day…
