Hi Its me. Its sure has been a while. (^_^)
Last week, i have read a book and found this word. Its strange because i have never come cross with that words and it makes me confused.
I search those words through internet but have different meaning and here i thought it is the same.
The words are Later & Laters
Later (source: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/later)
- comparative form of late: more late
- You came in late yesterday and today you came in even later.
- Afterward in time (used with than when comparing with another time).
- My roommate arrived first. I arrived later.
- I arrived later than my roommate.
- At some unspecified time in the future.
- I wanted to do it now, but I'll have to do it later.
Laters (source http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/laters)
Shortened from see you later, with hypocoristic -s (compare toodles from toodleloo and bye-byes from good-bye).
laters!
- (slang) see you later; an expression used at parting.
I'm gained new knowledge by reading
Laters, Gorgeous/Handsome/Baby <-- haha

@ Hardi : at first, i am so confused too and after reading it few times then i did understand. Its more like slang.. I think its more easy then saying " see you later" but then again slang words always makes us non-spoken english confused
(^_^)?
Laters, Hardi
Now I gained a bit of that knowledge that you gained too, from reading your blog here. But I really don't understand it. How on earth could "see you later" become "laters". Shouldn't laters be just the plural of later? I would think it's like "Until to next meetings we meet again." So weird.
haha
i will say it to you often Noas.. so you need to be ready..
Laters, gorgeous =P
I hate slang! (>_<) :-P
