Choices, choices, choices

Who has never had to make a difficult choice in their lives?

I'm facing one now that is making me really  confused.

I feel I've come to this point in my life I should try hard to develop in my profession. You know what it means "now or never"? That's my deliberate decision, of course...

What annoys me is the fact that I am not really sure I need to have this kind of job with legal documentation and stuff like that, but I feel it's the only way to find a way out, I mean, a chance to develop further.

Then comes the point I wanted to get your attention to: we are all free to choose our ways. Once we have picked one up... we should go ahead and do not look back. I think that is the hardest thing, especially when you are still fond of your present and doesn't want to let it go.

Probably that's why I am having trouble making a decision here: not only I like my present job, but also I do want to keep my commitment. I really care about the people I work with and do not want to let them down. A crazy type? Yes, but I hope I get the same respect from my employers.

Then... I am writing here quite randomly to get it off my chest... and I will write here again as soon as I have made up my mind. Thanks for your time reading it.

P.S. What my profession is? A profession in which much study is necessary... much dedication... I deal with people... and with language. And I love to do what I do.

  • Thanks a lot for your point of view, Viviana
  • I agree with farid; though, you should get an informed decision, I mean, inform yourself thoroughly about the new job. Imagine yourself in the future, doing that job, that gives you more confidence when you know exactly what you do; then just do it, no time for regrets, as you said. Be confident in yourself that you'll take the right decision. And whatever you'll do there's never an "end road", there will always be other options.

And also, you don't have to prove nothing to anyone ("respect from my employers"), follow your goals, and the recognition will come.

    Good luck!

  • Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!!
